By default, employees will have limited access to the Succession module. To grant additional permissions for Succession, you must create a custom role with the necessary Succession-related permissions and assign the custom role to the employee.
Creating Custom Role
- Click Account Admin towards the top-right.
- Go to Company Setup and click Custom Roles.
- Click New Item... and set up a new custom role. If you want to use an existing custom role, skip to the next step.
- Click Add under the Permissions column.
- Use the drop-down menu to select the available Succession permissions and click Add. The following five permissions are currently available for Succession:
- Succession Menu Development Plans
- Succession Menu Talent Slate
- Succession Tab Career Preferences
- Succession Planning Admin
- Succession Menu Talent Matrix
- Click Close when finished.
Adding the Role to an Employee
- Click Edit towards the left of the employee's name.
- Click the Roles tab.
- Enable the custom role you set up.
- Save any changes.
