The "Additional Questions" tab of the job creation process allows you to enter any job-specific question that will be associated with the individual job posting. Any additional questions created under the "Advanced Settings" menu will be automatically added to each job post unless marked otherwise in the properties of the question.
Additional questions can also be added to each job posting to ask questions that are job-specific. Any questions created within the job post will not be seen in any other job postings.
Expand for Navigation Steps to Additional Questions
- Expand Settings and click Applicant Tracking from the menu.
- Click Create Job Posting from the Actions drop-down menu to create a new job posting or the title of an existing job posting.
- Click the Step 2 - Additional Questions tab.
The "Additional Questions" tab provides the following columns:
- Short Question - Click the short question text to edit the question.
- Reply Type
- Required
- Knockout - The incorrect answer to the question will "knock out" the applicant.
- Graded
- Display Order
- Response Count
- Global Question - Indicates if the question was added from the "Advanced Settings" menu.
The Actions dropdown menu allows you to:
- Add a new question
- Save Display Order - The display order can only be adjusted for non-global questions.
- Delete selected record(s)
Adding or Editing a New Question
- Click Add a new question from the Actions dropdown menu to create a new question or click the short question text for an existing question. Questions created from the "Advanced Settings" menu cannot be modified from this menu and must be modified from the "Questions" tab of "Advanced Settings".
- Set up the question properties from the "Question Properties" tab. Click Next to progress through the steps.

What type of question do you want to create:
- A question with no weight that will not be scored - A question that has no outcome in the application process. Typically used to get to know the applicant or to gather information.
- A question with a weight that I will define that will be scored - A question that requires an answer from the applicant. Scoring options will be provided in the step 2.
- A question, that if answered incorrectly will not allow the applicant to apply - A question that requires an answer from the applicant. Answering this question incorrectly will not allow the completion of the application.
- How should the question look to the applicant? - Determines how the applicant will be able to answer the question. Answers can be a Radio list, Check boxes, or text entered.
- Do you want to make this question required by the applicant? - Specify if the question should be required by the applicant.

Question - What the applicant will be asked.

Display Order - Specify the order in which your question will be displayed. Any previously added questions will be shown on this menu.

Question Type
- Set up the question answers/options from the "Question Options" tab. Click Save and Continue when finished.
- This tab will be affected by the "Question Type" of the previous tab. If a "Textbox" or "Multiline Textbox" has been selected, this tab will not be required.
- If a "Multiple Choice" question was selected, the answer options will be added in this screen.
- Click Add New Option to add options/questions. Clicking the option name will allow you to adjust an existing option.
- You can specify if an answer is the "correct" answer. This will determine if the applicant will be able to complete the application process. The incorrect answer will "knock out" the applicant and send them to the Submit Tab, saying they are not qualified for the job.
- The "Question Review" tab will display how the question and answering section will be seen by the applicant.
- Click Close question and return to all questions when finished.
Deleting a Question
- Select the question(s) to delete with the checkbox to the right. Global questions added from the "Advanced Settings" menu that have been set not to be deleted will not be selectable.
- Go to the Actions dropdown menu and click Delete Selected Records.
- Confirm the deletion.
