After AccountLinx has exported records for an employee, the employee's time records are marked as having been exported with an icon on the Timecard pages of ExakTime Connect, and the time records will be "hidden" on AccountLinx. This is done to prevent time data from being exported again and duplicating time data in your accounting/payroll system. If, for any reason, the export must be re-exported, you can reset the time records to the "Not Exported Yet" state so they can be exported again.
AccountLinx is unable to reverse or undo an export in the sense that it removes the time data from your accounting/payroll application. Any time data that should be removed from your accounting/payroll application must be removed by you.
Delete Time Data in Accounting/Payroll FIRST
If the time data has already reached your accounting/payroll application, it is advised to remove the time data from your accounting/payroll application before re-exporting the time from AccountLinx to prevent duplicate time data. Removing time data in your accounting/payroll application must be done manually by you.
Resetting Exported Records
- With AccountLinx open, select the date range in the top right then press View. Any time that is within the date range will be reset for export. You cannot pick and choose which time records to reset.
- Select the employee(s) for whom you wish to re-export time records. All time records for the selected employees will be reset for export for the selected date range. You cannot pick and choose which time records to reset.
- Go to Tools and click Reset Exported Records from the top.
- A confirmation message will appear showing the date range you will be resetting records for and a warning that any records that are currently in your accounting/payroll application will NOT be removed. Click OK to confirm the reset.
- After a brief pause, the time records will be marked as unexported and will be made available to export again.
- Click Clear above the employee list as the employees will be selected, but the time that was reset has not been selected.
