Guide to the Time Card Summary of ExakTime Connect

The Time Card Summary allows quick reference for your employees' time cards, any exceptions, quarantined time, approvals, etc. You can also perform quick actions such as jumping directly to an employee's time card detail, approve time cards, and close/reopen a pay period.

Navigating to Time Card Summary

Go to Time Cards and click Time Card Summary.

Understanding Menu

  1. Employee Search
  2. Time Information
    1. Time Summary
    2. Quarantined Time
    3. Approvals History
  3. Date Range Selection (Pay Period or Custom Date Range)
  4. Closing/Opening Pay Period and Quick Approvals (If enabled)
  5. Column Manager - Allows you to add/remove columns and group up employees. The columns available are dependent on the tab being viewed and the features enabled.

Time Summary Tab

The time summary will provide a brief overview of your employees' time for the specified date range. Depending on the columns used, you can quickly see if any corrections need to be done or if there are any comments associated with a time record.

In the example below, we have some common and useful columns enabled, but some columns can be added/removed.

  • ETC_-_Time_Card_Summary_-_Time_Card_Detail_Icon_-_00.png - Click this icon to view the time card detail of the employee.
  • ID - Clicking the ID will take you to the time card detail of the employee. 
  • Name - Clicking the name will take you to the time card detail of the employee. 
  • Employee/Supervisor/Sign Off - An indicator if the time card has been approved and at what level. The time card can also be approved from this screen with the provided checkbox.
  • Signature - If the employee is able to approve an employee's time card from ExakTime Mobile, their signature can be reviewed with the provided column.
  • # of Exceptions - An indicator for the number of exceptions on an employee's time card, such as overlapping time records or incomplete time records. Clicking the number will take you to the employee's time card detail.
  • REG/OT1/OT2/BREAK/TOTAL - The number of hours/minutes for the employee based on the column.

Quarantined Time Tab

If an employee's time card has been approved at any level and/or the pay period has been closed, any time punches/records made by an employee will go to the Quarantined Time tab.

When the approval for the time card has been removed and the pay period has been reopened, all the time punches in the Quarantined Time tab will move to the employee's time card is possible.

Approvals History Tab

Approvals history will show any approvals or unapprovals for the selected date range. This tab requires the use of Time Card Approvals.
