When employees clock in and out on ExakTime Mobile, we will associate any GPS data generated by their phone with the employee's punch, if possible. ExakTime Mobile does not generate GPS data and will always use the GPS data the phone/tablet provides. The GPS data associated with the time punch can be reviewed in ExakTime Connect to determine where an employee was and if they were in the vicinity of a location at the time of clocking in or out.

Reviewing Timecards

After selecting the appropriate date range and employee to review, you can review the employee's timecard to quickly see if they were on-site when clocking in/out with the icons next to the start and stop time.

Hovering over the small i icon next to the start or top time will display additional information.

Icon Color and Information	Note
	Blue icons denote no GPS data available for a time record. This can be due to the mobile device not providing GPS data to ExakTime Mobile when the time record was created, the time record was made in the office manually, or the time punch/record was created by the system, such as for an auto-lunch or midnight split.
	Green icons denote that the mobile device was within the GeoFence for the location at the time the punch was created.
	Red icons denote that the mobile device was outside of the GeoFence of the location when the employee clocked in/out with how far the mobile device was from the GeoFence.
	Gray icons denote that there is GPS data associated with the time record, but the location of the time record does not have a GeoFence set up. After the GeoFence is set up, the gray icon will automatically change to a green or red icon to reflect the employee's position relative to the location.
	Yellow icons denote that the employee concluded their meal break early.

Updating Location/GeoFence Updates Icon Color

The green, red, or gray icons will automatically update to other colors after the GeoFence is created/updated for a location or if the location is changed to another with a different GeoFence. For example:

• If a time punch has a green icon and the location of the time record is changed to another, the green icon can change to a red icon. This can occur if the GPS position of the time punch is not within the GeoFence of the new location.
• If a time punch has a red icon and the GeoFence for the location is moved to a different area, the red icon can change to a green icon. This will occur as the GPS position of the time punch is now within the new GeoFence position.

Reviewing Position on Map

While the Timecard page presents the mobile device's relative position at a glance, you can view the position on a map.

• - If there is GPS data associated with a time record, the Globe icon will be clickable and take you to the Map View page.
• - If a time record does not have any GPS data, the Globe icon will be slightly grayed out and unclickable.

Clicking the globe will take you to the Map View, which will show you where the mobile device of the employee was located and if possible, where they were in relation to their selected location.
