Cost Centers - Flat with Status for ExakTime Integration Import Layout for Core HR

The layout below can be used to import the Locations and Cost Codes, with Status from ExakTime into Core HR. Column Headers are provided in the Exported ExakTime Cost Code and Location file in the order of the columns specified in the table below.

General Information on Importing

For general information on importing data, refer to the following dedicated article that details how to import a file, supported formats, and other related information.

Import Layout

When creating your import file, you must:

  • Create Column Headers.
  • Match the order of the columns with the table provided below.
  • Match the number of columns with the table provided below.

If columns are added or removed, the import process file will stop and an error message will be shown, resulting in no records processed and an error logged in the import history.

When is a Record Added vs Updated?

If an existing record is found in the key field(s) ([key]) identified below, the Core HR will update that record instead of creating a new record.

Order Column Header Type Max Field Length Required Notes
1 Cost Center Level Name Text <= 200 Yes This will come over from ExakTime as either "Cost Code" or "Location" which will designate (by row) if the record will go to Cost Center 1 or Cost Center 2
2 Cost Center Name Text <= 200 Yes This will come from the ExakTime Cost Code or Location ID field. Values must be populated and unique
3 Cost Center Description Text <= 200 Yes This will come from the ExakTime Cost Code or Location Name field
4 Cost Center Status Text Active/Inactive Yes This will come from the ExakTime Cost Code or Location Active/Inactive Status flag.
