The "Time Off" page for Employees allows you to:
- Review your time off balances and requests.
- Submit new time off requests.
- View holidays and blackout dates.
- Review changes to time off balances and accruals.
- See when your colleagues have time off to avoid conflicts.
The options available on the "Time Off" page will differ depending on what has been enabled and configured for your organization.
- Expand My Time, and click View/Request Time Off.
The "Time Off" page can provide the following tabs:
Time Off Summary
The "Time Off Summary" will list your time off balances and your time off requests (pending, granted, and denied).
Time Off Detail
The "Time Off Detail" shows a detailed breakdown of changes to your time off balances, such as time-off accruals, grants, etc.
Time Off Request
The "Time Off Request" tab allows you to submit a time off request to your manager for approval.
Submitting a Time Off Request
- Select the date(s) you wish to request off with the calendar.
- Click Add Selected Dates.
- The selected dates will populate step 3. Enter the following information:
- Units - Enter the number of units for the given day(s).
- Type - Specify the type of time off (paid time off, holiday, sick, etc.)
- Comment - Provide any relevant comments, such as how you will take a half day, etc.
- If you added unnecessary dates, you can select them from the checkbox(es) to the left, go to the Actions dropdown menu, and click Delete Selected Records.
- Click Submit Request.
- Your manager will approve/deny your request. You can check on the status of your request from the "Time Off Summary" tab.
Holidays and Blackout Dates
The "Holiday & Blackout Dates" will list your organization's Holidays (such as Presidents' Day, Memorial Day, etc.) and Blackout Dates (such as company-wide trainings, meetings, etc.)
If you are not seeing the expected holidays, click the filter icon to the right and make sure you are viewing the right year. The latest year with holidays/blackouts will be shown initially.
System Emails
The "System Emails" tab will show a list of emails sent by Core HR relating to time off, such as time off accruals, time off requests, approvals, etc.
- Click the
icon to view a copy of the system email.
- Click the filter icon
to the right to filter the list of system emails.
Calendar
The "Calendar" tab will display the time off of other employees to help avoid conflicts when scheduling.
The calendar offers the following filter options:
- Manager
- Employee
- Type
- Time Off Types
- Year
- Week
