"Manage" is a menu in the Arcoro app that allows users to view and add new entities such as employees, locations, cost codes, and equipment.
This can be helpful in situations such as:
- An employee was recently hired and needs to track their time, but was not added on the Arcoro website. A supervisor can add them and start tracking their time with "Clock For" until the Admin can finish setting them up.
- A supervisor is inspecting a location with a potential client and wants to put the location into the system to have it ready for when the job starts. The supervisor can add the location and the GPS coordinates for the location.
- A supervisor needs to review and navigate to the address of a location.
Special Consideration
Manage Allows Adding
The "Manage" menu will also allow the user to add new entities, and cannot be restricted currently. Because of this, it is recommended to only grant permission to trusted individuals, such as supervisors/managers.
Crews/Groups
Crews and Groups is another feature that can be found in the "Manage" section of the Arcoro app that allows you to group employees, locations, and cost codes as desired. For more information about setting up crews and groups, you can refer to the following dedicated article.
Establish Consistent Naming
When adding new entities through the Arcoro app, it can help to maintain a consistent naming structure to avoid employees assuming that they need to enter a new entity, when it was named something different from what they had expected.
Delay For New Entities to Propagate
After a new entity has been added through the Arcoro app, that entity will not exist on the Arcoro website or on other copies of the Arcoro app initially.
To have the new entity appear throughout the Arcoro Time system, the creator of the entity would need to sync their copy of the Arcoro app. It should appear on the Arcoro website shortly after. When the entity exists in Arcoro website, the entity will be passed to all copies of the Arcoro app.

Enabling "Manage" Options
-
Go to Manage and click Security Roles.
- Click the Mobile tab. By default, we offer Administrator, Supervisor, and Employee. More roles can be created for other groups of employees if necessary. The Administrator role cannot be adjusted.
- Click New Role to create a new role or the eye icon to modify an existing role.
- Enable the appropriate Employee, Location, Cost Code, or Equipment option under the "Add" section.
- Save any changes. Repeat this for any other security role that will need permission.
- If you have created a new security role and are not familiar with assigning a security role, you can refer to the following articles to assign the role through the employee profile or assign the role through the Security Roles page.
- Your employees will need to sync their copies of the app to receive the new permission. They may also need to log out and back in to see menu changes.
