When exporting from QuickBooks, you can rarely receive the following error that prevents a time record from being exported.
QuickBooks Error: There was an error when saving a TimeTracking. QuickBooks error message: Record needs to be locked before it can be modified.
What Causes the Error?
This error is generally caused by having an employee's timesheet open in QuickBooks. As you are currently viewing the timesheet, it cannot be modified by an external application such as AccountLinx.
How Can I Fix It?
You would simply need to close the employee's timesheet in QuickBooks and try to export the employee's time data again.
If you still receive the error despite not looking at the timesheet when trying to export, close both QuickBooks and AccountLinx, reopen the applications, and try to export the time again.
