When trying to generate a report in ExakTime Connect, you may receive the following message and not receive the report that you are expecting:
Sorry, there's nothing to display for the report you requested
Cause
The message "Sorry, there's nothing to display for the report you requested" is generally due to a report not having any relevant information to display based on the selected date range, filters, or employee filters.
Common Troubleshooting Methods
The common methods to address report issues have been listed below:
Filters Set to Selected, But Nothing Is Selected
If there are time records on your employee's time card, double-check the report filters as they may be too restrictive and will not display any information for your report.
In the example below, we have enabled filters to only show time records with specific cost codes, but have not selected any cost codes. Because nothing has been selected, the report will not display anything.
This can be easily resolved by either selecting the entities to filter the report to or clicking "Clear All Filters" to reset your filters.
Do You Have Permission to View the Employees?
Employee viewsets determine the employees you can see throughout the ExakTime system. If your viewset only allows you to view your own information or specific employees, you will be unable to view the information related to employees outside your viewset.
If you are unable to adjust your viewset, speak with an ExakTime Administrator to double-check your viewsets and ensure you have permission to view the necessary employees for your reports.
Is There Data to Report On?
Time Reports
If you are generating reports based on an employee's time, you should review the employee's timecard/timesheet with the same date range as the report. If there is no time on the employees' timecards/timesheets, you will want to focus on why you have not received your employees' records, as it may be the root of the issue.

Field Note Reports
