When using SyncLinx to import entities, the entities that are available to import into ExakTime are found in the top section of SyncLinx after clicking on the appropriate "Get X" button. There may be some instances where an entity is not appearing as expected for import.
What is Happening?
The entity list found at the top of SyncLinx are entities that we believe are to be new and available for import. This is interpreted by the entity's name and ID combination not already being imported or ignored for import.
How to Resolve
The methods below are common solutions as to why an entity does not appear as an option to import.
- The entity has already been ignored. The "Ignored on Import" section will list entities that have already been ignored from a previous import. You can use the "Add to Import" checkbox to make it importable. Simply check the checkbox and click "Begin Import" when ready.
- The entity name and ID combination match an existing entity in ExakTime. If the entity was previously entered manually into ExakTime, the entity can be listed in the "Already in ExakTime" section of Synclinx. Check the "Already in "ExakTime" section and see if the entity is listed there.
- The entity is set up differently in your payroll/accounting application. Compare a working entity with the entity that is not being listed to see if the missing entity was set up differently.
- Double-check entity status in payroll/accounting application. Some payroll/accounting applications allow entities to have different statuses such as Pending, On-Hold, etc. which may prevent them from being an option to import. The SyncLinx importer settings may also restrict what entity statuses should be available for import.
