Arcoro is excited to announce the upcoming release for our customers. You can check back to this article later for the official release date! This release provides additional features when processing new hire employees within Arcoro Core HR. This article will describe the update and provide details about these changes.
Enhancements
Active Admin Column
Within the Onboarded New Hires page, you will now see an additional column labeled ‘Active Admin’. This new column has been added so that an admin has visibility as to who is actively working on that employee record. The Active Admin column will show the admins' first and last name.
Override Option
When an admin is actively in an employee's profile (indicated in the Active Admin column) and another admin selects the new hire name in the Name column an override popup will appear. The admin can select override which will change the active admin to them or proceed with canceling the override. Messaging on the popup warns of possible duplication or unsaved work should the override option be selected.
The following actions can be selected from the override popup:
-
Override - Active Admin is switched to the admin selecting override and taken to employee profile.
- Original admins work will not be saved.
- If original admin does try and save, message will appear on demographics screen.
- Cancel - Admin returns to Onboarded New Hires page
Auto Increment Employee ID
When a new hire record is selected from the Onboarded New Hire page the employee ID is reserved. This applies when companies are using the setting for auto-incremented employee IDs with no duplicates. Before this release, the employee ID would not be set until the record was saved. By reserving the employee ID once the employee record is selected from the Onboarded New Hire page, we avoid the issue where multiple records are trying to assign the same employee ID when the records are in process by multiple admins at the same time.
- Once employee is selected from Onboarded New Hire Page the auto generated employee id will be incremented
- If the employee record is not completed or deleted, that auto generated employee id will remain incremented and skipped
- Once the employee id is incremented, we will not be reusing them.
If you do not have access to the Onboarded New Hire page within Core HR, please reach out to your Account Manager.
