Understanding the Core HR to Vista Integration

Our Core HR and Viewpoint Vista integration extracts employee-related data from Core HR and transforms it into Vista-compatible CSV files. From there, you can manually import the files into Vista or package the files into a structured ZIP archive and have them processed by AppXChange into Vista. This integration keeps Arcoro's Core HR as the system of record for managing employees and syncs employee data between Arcoro and Vista using Vista’s Import Utility.

Source of Truth

Core HR is the authoritative system of record for all employee-related objects included in this integration.

Vista receives and consumes employee configuration data. Changes made directly in Vista to in-scope objects may be overwritten during subsequent syncs.

Roles of respective modules/systems:

  • Core HR = Authoritative Employee System
  • AppXChange = If utilized, is the Transformation, Transportation, and Execution Layer
  • Viewpoint Vista = Consuming Payroll System

Integration Demonstration

To provide a better understanding of the integration, you can watch our demonstration video below.

Things to Note

For AppXChange Users

If the configuration used for the original AppXChange setup has been changed (i.e., original user credentials invalid, etc.), please contact us for assistance with reconfiguring AppXChange.

Benefit Rounding

  • All flat benefit amounts are rounded to 2 decimals before summing to ensure accurate and consistent results using banker’s rounding.
  • Percent-based benefits will be converted to decimal (i.e., 4.56% converted to .0456) and rounded to 5 decimal places to ensure parity with flat benefit rounding.

Overtime Calculations

  • When a flat override amount is entered and no calculation type is chosen, automatically default the calculation type to “A” (amount). Any manual selection by the user will be honored, and the logic will continue defaulting to “R” (rate/percent) when the override is percentage-based

Direct Deposit

  • Only the active direct deposit method is written for each employee

Employee Syncing

  • Employees that will be included in the data sync from CoreHR to Vista are all active and terminated employees who have a termination date between 12/01 of the previous year to the current date.
