Issues Connecting to Company File with SyncLinx or AccountLinx on Windows 11

Depending on your payroll/accounting software, SyncLinx/AccountLinx can directly connect with the software's company file to read and write key information, such as reading employee/location information or writing time data. With Windows 11, it is possible for these critical company files to be moved and stored on the cloud for safekeeping in the event of computer issues or when using a different computer. By moving these company files to the cloud, SyncLinx/AccountLinx cannot connect to the company files as normal.

If you have an IT professional at your company, consult them so any critical payroll/accounting software files are stored in locations that SyncLinx/AccountLinx can access, such as on the local drive.

If you do not have an IT professional, review your Windows 11 settings as to where new files are being stored and be mindful of where you are saving your company files and other important documents so they can be accessed by applications such as SyncLinx and AccountLinx.
