With AccountLinx, you can export your employees' time data from ExakTime Connect into a compatible file for JD Edwards. As JD Edwards may be customized to fit your company's needs, it is possible that the default AccountLinx export for JD Edwards will not match your JD Edwards setup exactly. Please read through this article before setting up AccountLinx to understand what is needed ahead of time.

Selecting JD Edwards as your Exporter
- Go to Tools and click Exporter Settings....
- The Exporter Settings window should open. Click Select Exporter....
- A window with a list of available exporters should open. Select "JD Edwards" and click OK.
AccountLinx Settings Unique to JD Edwards
The JD Edwards export for AccountLinx offers a variety of settings when exporting your time data to help tailor the time data to your company's needs. These settings are unique to AccountLinx and will not affect ExakTime Connect or Mobile. If any of the settings offered do not sound familiar, you may not be using the setting in JD Edwards and can leave it as <None>.
- Go to Tools and click Exporter Settings....
- The Exporter Settings window should open. Click Configure....
- The Configuration window should open. You should see the following options:
- Default Pay Types
- Regular - Enter the regular pay type as used in JD Edwards.
- Overtime - Enter the overtime pay type as used in JD Edwards.
- Overtime2 - Enter the overtime 2 (doubletime) pay type as used in JD Edwards.
- Optional Pay Types Matching
- Vacation - Enter the JD Edwards code and the ExakTime Cost Code that best matches.
- Holiday - Enter the JD Edwards code and the ExakTime Cost Code that best matches.
- Sick - Enter the JD Edwards code and the ExakTime Cost Code that best matches.
- Other
- User ID - The value of the timeclock vendor that houses the data, such as EXAKTIME.
- Direct Labor Code - A numeric value, typically 311.
- Display pre-export Batch Code Prompt - If enabled, will display a menu to enter the batch code for the session.
- Use Alternative Pay IDs
- Map Pay IDs to - Specify if an alternate pay ID should be associated with specific employees, locations, or cost codes. This allows particular employees, locations, or cost codes to have an alternate set of pay IDs when exported. The related mapping screen will show fields to enter the pay ID that should be associated with exported time records. If an entity does not have an alternate pay ID, it will use the default pay ID instead.
- Default Pay Types
- Click OK on the Configuration window and click OK on the Exporter Settings window to return to the main page of AccountLinx.
- Click the appropriate "Map Employee/Location/Cost Code/Equipment" option to see the columns from the options enabled in Step 3.
General Use of AccountLinx
After setting up the configuration of AccountLinx to better match JD Edwards in the previous section, you will need to:
- Map your entities so any time data associated with an ExakTime entity will match with a JD Edwards entity and fill in any relevant fields enabled in the previous section. Refer to the following article if you are unfamiliar with mapping your data in AccountLinx.
- After mapping your entities, you can export your time data to import into JD Edwards. Refer to the following article if you are unfamiliar with exporting time data from AccountLinx.
