With AccountLinx, you can export your employees' time data from ExakTime Connect into a compatible file for Maxwell Management Suite. As Maxwell was acquired by Viewpoint and discontinued Management Suite, this resource is kept for reference for anyone still using Management Suite, but this does not guarantee that AccountLinx will continue to work with American Contractor in the future.

If you have any questions or concerns during setup and/or use, you can contact us with the "Request Support" link at the top of the page and we will try to assist as best as possible. Keep in mind, however, that we are not Maxwell support. We will try to help you as much as we can, but there are aspects of Maxwell that are out of our area of expertise.

Selecting Maxwell as your Exporter

1. Go to Tools and click Exporter Settings.... 
2. The Exporter Settings window should open. Click Select Exporter.... 
3. A window with a list of available exporters should open. Select "Maxwell Management Suite" and click OK.

AccountLinx Setting Unique to Maxwell

The Maxwell export for AccountLinx offers a variety of settings when exporting your time data to help tailor the time data to your company's needs. These settings are unique to AccountLinx and will not affect ExakTime Connect or Mobile. If the settings offered do not sound familiar, you may not be using the setting in Maxwell and can leave it as <None>. 

1. Go to Tools and click Exporter Settings.... 
2. The Exporter Settings window should open. Click Configure....
   • Company Code - The company code used for Management Suite.
   • Default Earn Types
     • Regular - Enter the regular earning type as used in Maxwell.
     • Overtime - Enter the overtime earning type as used in Maxwell.
     • Doubletime - Enter the doubletime earning type as used in Maxwell.
   • Optional Earning Types Matching
     • Vacation - Enter the Management Suite code and the ExakTime Cost Code that best matches.
     • Holiday - Enter the Management Suite code and the ExakTime Cost Code that best matches.
     • Sick - Enter the Management Suite code and the ExakTime Cost Code that best matches.
   • Optional Rate Codes and Rates
     • Optional Rate Code to - Specify which entity the optional rate code should be associated with. The related mapping screen will have additional fields for you to complete.
     • Rates to - Specify which entity rates should be associated with. The related mapping screen will have additional fields for you to complete.
   • Other
     • Map Union Code to - Specify which entity the union code should be associated with. The related mapping screen will have additional fields for you to complete.
     • Display pre-export Batch Code prompt - If enabled, will allow you to enter a batch code for the export session. 
   • Export
     • Export Version - Specify if you want to use the "Custom Text File Export" or "Generic Excel Export"
3. Click OK on the Configuration window and click OK on the Exporter Settings window to return to the main page of AccountLinx.
4. Click the appropriate "Map Employee/Location/Cost Code" option to see the columns from the options enabled in Step 3.

General Use of AccountLinx

After setting up the configuration of AccountLinx to better match Maxwell in the previous section, you will need to:

• Map your entities so any time data associated with an ExakTime entity will match with an Maxwell entity and fill in any relevant fields enabled in the previous section. Refer to the following article if you are unfamiliar with mapping your data in AccountLinx.
• After mapping your entities, you can export your time data to import into Maxwell. Refer to the following article if you are unfamiliar with exporting time data from AccountLinx.
