User Permissions for Payroll

The User Permissions for Payroll allow you to customize what you and your employees can see when using the Payroll module.

  • Roles of the payroll application and what is the highest level of permission the user COULD have:
    • Payroll Employee - Can only see themselves in their company. Very few editable fields, and primarily has access for tax election modifications and viewing of pay stubs.
    • Payroll Manager - Can edit payroll data where applicable for their company only. Can not SEE the Payrolls tab in the Navigation.
    • Payroll Controller - All the same as Payroll Manager with the addition of seeing and editing the Payrolls tab. However, can submit payrolls but not approve them.
    • Payroll Admin - Same as controller with the addition of being the only company-level role that can approve payrolls
