1/2025 Arcoro Integrations SFTP Output Release Notes

We are excited to introduce an enhanced capability within the integrations module that allows data to be securely exported to external systems via SFTP (SSH File Transfer Protocol) in an upcoming release. This feature introduces two distinct synchronization flows for different types of integrations: managed and unmanaged text providers.

Key Features

Managed Text Providers with Sync from Arcoro to External System (e.g., Spectrum only via App Xchange):

  • Description - In this flow, Arcoro controls the entire data flow from the system of record to the external system.
  • Configuration - The SFTP URL is preconfigured and stored in the database for each provider, ensuring a seamless and consistent transfer process.
  • Security - Users are unable to view or modify the SFTP connection details.
  • Usage - Ideal for integrations where Arcoro manages the entire transfer to external systems.

Unmanaged Text Providers with Sync from Arcoro to Customer Specified SFTP Server (e.g., Arcoro to Vista and other file based integrations):

  • Description - For integrations where Arcoro's responsibility ends once the data is persisted on the SFTP server.
  • Configuration - Customers can configure the SFTP URL and credentials through the integrations module UI, providing greater flexibility and control over the SFTP setup.
  • Security - Ensures that only the appropriate users have access to modify connection details, maintaining security across external integrations.

Notes About SFTP Output

Common Features Across Both Flows

  • Data Export Process - The system will read data from the Arcoro module (system of record), package it into zip files following a standardized naming convention, and securely transfer these files to the designated SFTP server.
  • Structured Folder Hierarchy - The exported files will be organized into a structured folder hierarchy on the SFTP server, facilitating easy management and retrieval of processed files.
  • Retention Policy - A retention policy will automatically manage older files, ensuring they are cleaned up appropriately to maintain server efficiency and reduce unnecessary storage use.
  • Encryption in Transit - All data transfers are encrypted, addressing security concerns related to PII (Personally Identifiable Information) and ensuring secure handling of sensitive data.

Benefits

  • Enhanced Security - Data is encrypted during transit to ensure that sensitive information is protected.
  • Flexible Integration - Two distinct sync flows provide tailored support for both managed and unmanaged sync providers.
  • User Control - Customers can manage their own SFTP URL and credentials in certain use cases, offering greater flexibility in integration setups.
  • Efficient File Management - Automated file organization and retention ensure clean and manageable data exports.

End User Impact

  • No specific actions are required from end users. The feature will be automatically available upon updating to the latest version.
  • Managed text provider users will benefit from streamlined and secure integrations managed by Arcoro, with no need for manual SFTP configuration.
  • Unmanaged text provider users will gain more control over their integrations, with the ability to configure SFTP connection details and credentials directly within the UI.

Next Steps

Current customers with file export integrations are eligible to have this feature enabled via their destination connector in the Integrations module. The host, port, path, username, and password must be supplied.
