Holiday Payroll Schedule
As we approach the holiday season, we want to ensure everyone is prepared and informed about how holidays may impact payroll schedules.
To ensure smooth payroll processing, please note that Arcoro will not allow payroll to be processed with a payday that falls on a banking holiday, as funds cannot be moved on such dates. If your company’s payday coincides with a banking holiday, we recommend adjusting the payday to the preceding business day. For instance, if your company typically processes payroll on Thursdays, the check date for the week of Thanksgiving should be moved to Wednesday.
Payroll Processing Timelines
The following outlines how holidays can affect payroll processing periods and approval deadlines:
- A standard 3-day processing period typically means approvals are completed by Tuesday for a Friday payday. If Friday is a holiday, the check date will be moved to Thursday.
- In such cases, the approval deadline would normally shift to the preceding Monday. However, Arcoro will shorten the approval window to accommodate the holiday while maintaining a smooth approval process.
