Crews can be used to clock in/out a group of employees at once or help organize lists of employees for easier use. Location, cost code, etc. groups can be used to organize their respective lists for easier employee navigation.

Sources of Crews

Starting in ExakTime Mobile 2.64, we have included icons to show if a crew/group was created in ExakTime Connect or ExakTime Mobile.

- Crew was made by an employee in ExakTime Mobile. This type of crew can only be seen by the original creator.

- Crew was made by an employee in ExakTime Connect. These crews can be seen by anyone if their employee viewset allows. Modifying/Deleting a crew/group originating from Connect will be undone.

Overwriting Crews/Groups

When using ExakTime Mobile to create/edit/delete crews/groups, you will see the following warning that if modifying a Connect-sourced crew/group may be overwritten with the original.

Navigating to Crews/Groups

• Tap the menu button in the top left (≡) and tap Manage.

  

• Tap the Crew/Group option where want to create/edit/delete a group.

  

Creating a Crew/Group

Crews can be created at a moment's notice if your ExakTime Connect administrator did not make them in ExakTime Connect. Any crew created by you will only be accessible to you and only on the device it was created on.

• If using iOS, tap Edit, then tap + in the top-left. If using Android, tap + in the top-right. 

  

• Enter a name for the crew/group, then tap Next.

  

• Select what should be part of this crew/group, then tap Done/Save. If using iOS, you will tap Done again. 

  

Adjust Members of an Existing Crew/Group

• tap the Crew/Group you want to adjust.

  

• If using iOS, tap the Edit in the top right. If using Android, tap the three vertical dots in the top right and tap Edit. You may receive a message that your changes may be overwritten the next time ExakTime Mobile syncs to match with the original crew/group.

  

• Adjust the crew/group as needed.

  

• Tap Done/Save when finished.

Renaming a Existing Crew/Group

• If using iOS: Tap the red i icon to the right of the crew. You may receive a message that your changes may be overwritten the next time ExakTime Mobile syncs to match with what they were originally. Adjust the name as needed.

  

• If using Android: Tap the Crew/Group that you will rename. Tap the three vertical dots in the top right and tap Rename. You may receive a message that your changes may be overwritten the next time ExakTime Mobile syncs to match with what they were originally. Adjust the name as needed.

  

• Enter a new name for the crew/group and save.

  

Delete a Crew/Group

• If Using iOS: Tap Edit at the top right. You may receive a message that your changes may be overwritten the next time ExakTime Mobile syncs to match with what they were originally. You will see a minus icon appear next to your Crews/Groups. Tap the minus icon to show the Delete button and delete as needed.

  

• If using Android: Tap the Crew/Group that you want to delete. Tap the three vertical dots in the top right and tap Delete. You may receive a message that your changes may be overwritten the next time ExakTime Mobile syncs to match with what they were originally. Delete as needed.
