Users with the LMS (Learning Management System) Administrator or Training Administrator roles will be able to upload courseware files. Presently, courseware files can only be uploaded individually. Once uploaded into the LMS, the zipped courseware files will be opened and inspected to ensure that all essential files were included.
Click LMS Admin, click Courses, then click Online Course Management.
Upload Course Content
- Click Upload Course Content.
- A window will prompt to select the courseware zip file. Select zip file of course content (we accept eLearning industry-standard courseware formats such as versions of SCORM, AICC, xAPI/TinCan, CMI5). Click Browse or Drag and Drop Files in the box. Click Upload.
- You will see a message that the file is being processed. While this inspection process is happening asynchronously behind the scenes and the status of the inspection is “Pending”, you can upload additional courseware files, navigate to other areas of the platform, or even log out and walk away from your workstation.
- The following tab buttons will indicate the status of uploaded course files:
- Processing: Course files are being uploaded, analyzed, and installed. When the file is uploaded, it will automatically move to 'Successful.'
- Successful: Course files that have been successfully loaded and can be added to Courses in the LMS.
- Added as Course: Course files that have been attached to a Course in the LSM.
- Failed: Course files that failed to be uploaded (due to improper file type, exceeds 512MB file limit, missing files in the zip, etc.).
- If the courseware file fails to upload/process despite multiple attempts and the file is within the 512MB file limit, it is advised to contact the course creator to request a new version of the zip file in the event that the courseware file is corrupt/improperly made.
- After file moves to the 'Successful' tab, click the ... button to the right of the course under the Action column.
- Click Create New Course.
- Follow the steps here to finish creating a new Course from the courseware file.
