Potential Ratings are used in the Succession Planning module within the Talent Matrix or 9 Box view. Ratings can be assigned by the Administrator or Manager within the Employee Profile.
A potential letter grade, like A, B, C, or D should be assigned to an employee if planning to use the 9 Box. If a potential rating has not been assigned, the employee will not be seen within the 9 Box.
The letter rating is NOT configurable and as a best practice, your organization should come up with your own definition for each letter. This should be what the manager feels the employee's potential is.
Navigating to People
- Click People from the menu bar of the Succession module.
- Click the + icon or the letter rating under the Rating column.
- Select the letter grade from the drop-down menu and click Save. Potential Ratings are as follows:
- A=High
- B=Med
- C & D=Low
