Why is An Employee Not Listed on the Timecard or Timesheet in ExakTime?

Timecards and Timesheets allow you to track an employee's time by either tracking when they start and stop working with punches or by the number of hours an employee worked for a location and cost code with time blocks.

If you do not see a user on the timecard or timesheet page of ExakTime Connect or the employee selector lists in ExakTime Mobile, check any of the following:

Check Time Entry Method

As employees can only have one time entry method at a time, they will only be listed on the time entry page for which they have been enabled (i.e., if an employee has "Timecard (Time punch)" enabled, they will only appear on the Timecard page). Go to the employee's profile and make sure that they have the appropriate time entry method enabled.

Employee Viewset

An employee's viewset determines who they can see and interact with in ExakTime. If an employee is not within your viewset, they must be added to interact with the employee's time.

If you are unfamiliar with employee viewsets, refer to our dedicated article on how you or an administrator can add them to your viewset.
