The upcoming June monthly release for Core HR will contain the following updates:
Update to File Import
File upload logic for Core HR Employee Portal Documents, ACA Submission History, and Employee Note will be updated to support file names that contain multiple period characters.
For example, a file name such as Flyer.UCH_Websi.pdf will no longer be imported with an invalid file type extension. The import logic will now import correctly as a PDF.
Delete Direct Deposit Utility
Based on operations requests, the Bulk direct deposit utility will be available for use. This utility is for scenarios of incorrect direct deposit data being imported into CoreHR with incorrect data. This utility will allow for the deletion of all direct deposit data.
Logging data to be submitted in the system and employee logs.
The impact on existing integration is as follows. If direct deposit data that has already synced to third-party providers is deleted and a sync is performed before direct deposit data is re-added to CoreHR, the expectation will be that third-party direct deposit data will be either inactivated or deleted in the target system.
Caution is to be used to ensure direct deposit data is successfully re-added to CoreHR prior to any syncs to third-party systems.
Employee Banner refresh
This update will perform an automatic refresh of the source tab when a logged-in administrator navigates to the "My Employee" Home page.
When a user is viewing an employee profile menu, other than themselves, and the user clicks the "View My Home Page", the "My Home Page" will open in a new tab. The previous tab the logged-in user was viewing will automatically refresh to display the employee currently being viewed.
User Scenario:
- Core HR admin needs to view a profile other than themselves.
- Logged in user navigates to "View my employee home page" (upper right corner profile menu)
- When a new tab is opened by Core HR, the original tab will perform a full browser refresh to display the logged-in user as updated via viewing my employee home page
This update will have no impact in the following scenarios:
- No Impact if the user has multiple browser tabs currently open.
- Only the source and browser tab opened from the "view my employee home page" link will refresh
- No Impact if the user is using multiple browser windows or multiple separate browser programs, such as Chrome and Firefox, in use at the same time.
Top Banner Removal When Adding Employee
With the work for the Employee Banner Refresh, quality-of-life improvement will be the removal of the employee banner when adding a new employee. Currently, when adding a new employee, the logged-in user’s employee banner is shown at the top, which can cause confusion and is not an ideal user experience.
