Troubleshooting CMiC Integration Error: Employee Workers Compensation Code is Required

Issue

When running a Core HR to CMiC data sync, you may see this error:

"Write to CMiC Construction - Employee Workers Compensation Code is required. Employee will not be sent to CMiC."

This error will stop data transfer to CMiC until resolved.

Cause

This error occurs when:

  • An employee record in Core HR is missing a Workers Compensation Code.
  • Workers Compensation Codes are required in CMiC to create or update an employee record, so the sync fails if this field is empty in Core HR.

Resolution

  1. Log in to Core HR
  2. Search for and open the employee record
  3. Navigate to: Employee > Demographics > EEOC tab
  4. Locate the Workers Compensation Code field
  5. Enter a valid Workers Compensation Code
  6. Save your changes

After Resolution

Once updated, the error will clear automatically on the next data sync, and the employee record will successfully transfer to CMiC.

Key Points to Remember

  • Workers Compensation Codes are mandatory in CMiC for employee record creation and updates.
  • Ensure every employee in Core HR has a valid Workers Compensation Code assigned.
  • The error will resolve automatically on the next sync once corrected.
