Cause
When running a Core HR to CMiC data sync, you may encounter this error:
"Error Occurred: EMH_COUNTY_CODE - County Code [CODE] for State [STATE CODE] in Country US not on file"
This error happens because the sync is trying to validate the county code against the Counties table in CMiC, but the specific county code value is missing in CMiC.
If this error occurs, it will stop the data sync from Core HR to CMiC until resolved.
Issue
- Each U.S. state in CMiC is tied to a list of valid county codes in the Counties table.
- If a county code does not exist in CMiC, the sync cannot complete.
Resolution
Follow these steps in CMiC to add the missing county code:
- Log in to CMiC
- Navigate to Human Capital Management
- Go to US Payroll
- Select Setup
- Open Local Tables
- Go to Geographies
- Click into Countries
- Enter the Country Code (e.g., US) on the Geographies screen
- Enter the State/Province Code on the Geographies screen
- Insert a new record for the missing county
- Save your changes
After Resolution
- The error will automatically resolve on the next scheduled data sync.
- No additional steps are needed in Core HR.
Key Points
- This error is caused by a missing county code in CMiC.
- Adding the missing county code to CMiC will allow data to sync successfully.
- Always verify codes against the correct Country (US) and State during setup.
