Overview of 'Manage' for Data Exports in Core HR

The 'Manage' page for Data Exports provides Core HR administrators with a tool to help extract useful data from Core HR in formats such as delimited (compatible with Excel), fixed length, HIPAA 834, and XML. After creating your data exports, you can organize them into 'Categories' to keep similar exports together or important/test exports separated from others. We also offer 'Quick Excel Exports', a set of pre-configured experts to provide you with a starting point with the click of a mouse.

Keep in mind that this tool is used to export data from Core HR and is not a report-building tool.

  • Categories - The 'Categories' page allows you to create categories to help organize your data exports. For more information, you can refer to the following dedicated article.
  • Quick Excel Exports - Hovering over 'Quick Excel Exports' shows a drop-down list with our pre-made Excel exports within a sub-menu. For more information, you can refer to the following dedicated article.

The data export list can be sorted in ascending or descending order by clicking the column header.

There will be columns for:

  • Export Name - The export name is entered from the 'Properties' of the data export.
  • Data Type - The data type is assigned from the 'Properties' of the data export to determine the fields available to use in an export.
  • Category - Categories are assigned from the 'Properties' of the data export and configured from the 'Categories' page.
  • Mode - The mode is configured from the 'Properties' of the data export and determines the available options for the export.
  • Test Mode - 'Test Mode' is toggled from the 'Properties' of the data export. If the data export is not in 'Test Mode', this column will be blank. If the data export is in 'Test Mode', this column will have a green check mark.
  • Last Executed - This will show the date and time stamp the file was last executed. A date and time stamp will appear even if a data export was not successfully executed.
