In short, No. The location/GPS data associated with an employee's time record cannot be updated manually.
The location/GPS data associated with an employee's time record is whatever data has been provided by the mobile device in use. ExakTime Mobile does not generate any location/GPS data itself and fully relies on whatever data the mobile device generates and provides to ExakTime Mobile when the employee is clocking in/out. If it is believed that the location/GPS data for a time record is "inaccurate", then focus should be put on the employee's mobile device and why it generated the data.
Some common causes of inaccurate location/GPS data include, but are not limited to:
- Clocking in/out while the mobile device is trying to improve the accuracy of the location data.
- Environmental factors such as mountains or tall buildings can block satellite signals from reaching the mobile device.
- Satellite signals are reflected off nearby buildings/walls.
- Being indoors or underground.
- Radio interference.
