We’ve expanded ExakTime with powerful new photo capture capabilities across Expenses and Forms. Employees can now attach photos—such as receipts, inspection images, or incident documentation—directly within their workflows on mobile and web. Administrators, supervisors, and safety teams can review visual evidence alongside structured data, improving accuracy, compliance, and operational speed.
This release delivers two major enhancements:
- Photo Attachments for Expenses – Capture and upload receipt images to expense entries.
- Photo Question Type for Forms – Add photo-based questions to any form and allow field users to capture photo evidence online.

Photos for Expenses
Employees can now attach one or more photos/files to expense entries using the ExakTime mobile app or web interface. Admins reviewing expenses on the web will see a full-size preview and the ability to download image/file from ExakTime Connect and ExakTime Mobile.
ExakTime Mobile - Expense Submission
- Allows you to attach up to 5 photos/files to new or existing expenses
- You can take a photo with the device camera, choose from the photo library, or device file storage.
- View thumbnails and open full-screen previews.
- Allows you to download the pictures/files.
ExakTime Connect - Expense Submission & Review
- Allows you to upload JPG/PNG/HEIC images and/or PDF/TXT files when creating or editing expenses.
- Admins see a dedicated receipt section with full screen viewing and download capabilities
Expense Reporting
- The Expense by Employee report has been updated to include a new report specific option “Show Attachments”.
- Expense Details will show along with a full size image of the expense record.
- Save by PDF or Excel file types to generate a file with the image.
- Save by CSV does not support images
Photos for Forms
A new Photo Capture question type is now available in the ExakTime Form Designer. This enables field workers to upload or capture photos directly within any form—ideal for inspections, safety reports, equipment checks, progress verification, and incident documentation.
ExakTime Connect - Form Designer
- Add a Photo Capture question from the question toolbox.
- Note: Each Photo capture question allows One image to be added. If multiple images are expected on the form submission, multiple photo capture elements should be added to the form.
- Configure question text and required setting if applicable.
- Built-in preview to shows a placeholder for add attachment question type
- Photo Capture elements can be required or optional.
ExakTime Mobile - Photo Capture
- “Add photo” button opens camera or device gallery to attach photo
- Take or select one attachment per element question.
- After submission the user will be able to preview the photo and have ability to remove and retake prior to form submission
ExakTime Mobile - Reviewing Form Submissions
- The Forms response list shows a photo indicator for quick scanning.
- Form detail pages display thumbnails in line with respective questions.
- PDF exports now include photos within responses or a dedicated “Photos” section.

ExakTime Forms Report
- The Exaktime Forms report will now include Forms photo on CSV and Excel outputs
- The Exaktime Forms report will display a smaller image to keep forms questions inline and in order. For full size image downloads please use the Forms Response Viewer > Export to PDF format
