How to Enroll an Employee in a COBRA Plan

COBRA plans can be built in Arcoro to allow you to track COBRA elections in-house. Please note your COBRA plans must be built before this processing.

Adding Employee to COBRA

If an employee elects COBRA, follow the process below to add the employee to the applicable COBRA plans for enrollment tracking purposes:

  1. Go to the Employee’s Demographic Info page and update the Benefit Status to COBRA.

  2. Enter the applicable Change Effective Date
  3. Go to the Benefits > Benefits page and click the Check Eligibility button.

  4. Only COBRA-eligible benefits should appear on the screen. 
  5. In the Override Effective Date field, enter the date the COBRA election will begin.

  6. Click the Process Eligibility button.

Updating the Benefit Election

Click into the Benefit Range of the employee enrolled in.

In Step 1, select the plan and coverage tier the EE has elected, and then Save and Continue (make sure any dependents that are being added to coverage are also selected)

In Step 2, there is no need to make any updates.  Select Save & Continue.

In Step 3, make sure the After Change is correct and then select the Confirm Change button
