Receiving a "Username is Already in Use" Message

When setting up an employee to access ExakTime Connect, you may receive a message that the "Username is already in use" when entering their username.

What Is Happening?

The message "Username is already in use" is due to the same username already being entered for another user, either within your own organization or another organization.

What You Can Do

Enter an Alternate Username

If the employee worked at another organization using ExakTime, they may have already been set up with their username at the other organization. The easiest solution would be to enter an alternate username for the employee, as we cannot forcibly remove the username from an organization. For example, if the employee's username is [fake-username@fake-email.com], you could enter [fake-username@fake-email.com01] or [fake-username@fake-email.comCOMPANYNAME] to differentiate it.
