Setting Up and Using the Arcoro Mobile App

The Arcoro app is our new app that combines the Core HR and ExakTime Mobile apps into one great app to remove the need for two separate apps.  Employees, whether they're field workers clocking in from a job site or office employees checking their benefits, now only need one app to take care of their work needs.

With a single cohesive app to serve the needs of all organizations, we will release all new features and improvements in the Arcoro app.

FAQs

Do employees need to create a new account or re-enroll?

No. Employees log in with their existing Arcoro credentials. No new account setup is required.

What happens to the legacy ExakTime Mobile or Core HR app?

The legacy apps will continue to work during a transition period. Users will not be forced to switch on day one. Sunsetting timelines will be communicated separately. All new features and improvements will be released in the unified app only.

Do we need to use both Core HR and Arcoro Time to use the app?

No, if your organization only has Core HR or Arcoro Time, you can still use the Arcoro app. The Arcoro app will only show relevant features depending on your organization's configurations and how your employees set up the Arcoro app.

Can employees use the unified app if their company only has ExakTime?

Yes. ExakTime-only users get the full ExakTime mobile experience in the unified app. Core HR features will not appear unless the user also has a Core HR license.

Is any Core HR data editable from the mobile app?

No. All Core HR features in the Launch Release are read-only. Employees can view their profile, directory, benefits, and pay stubs, but cannot make changes from the app.

Are there any differences in the ExakTime experience between the old app and the unified app?

The Launch Release targets full feature parity with the current ExakTime Mobile app. Users should not experience any loss of functionality.

Can we continue to use the legacy ExakTime Mobile app?

For the time being, yes, the ExakTime Mobile app is still available for download and set up on the respective app stores. We recommend having your employees download and set up the Arcoro app when possible, as new features and improvements will be released in the Arcoro app only.

Initial Setup

The Arcoro Unified Mobile app can be set up with either of the following three methods:

  • Username and Password - Employees can log in using the same credentials they use to access the Arcoro web platform. Identity services will automatically associate the user with the correct company — no additional setup code or configuration is required. Users with SSO configured (e.g., Azure AD) can authenticate through their existing SSO provider.
  • Company Setup Code - Employees can provision the app using an ExakTime company setup code, consistent with the existing ExakTime Mobile provisioning experience. This path is particularly useful for new employees or field workers being set up by an admin.
  • ExakTime App (Auto-Provision) - If the employee already has the ExakTime Mobile app installed on their device, they can select the "ExakTime App" option on the provisioning screen. The Arcoro app will automatically pull the necessary configuration data from the existing ExakTime app, completing setup without requiring the employee to enter any credentials or codes manually. This option is designed to make migration from ExakTime Mobile to the Arcoro Unified app as seamless as possible for existing users.

Access

For users with both ExakTime and Core HR, the app enforces an additional layer of authentication to protect sensitive HR data, such as benefits, pay stubs, personal information.

When a user logs in using their ExakTime PIN, they have access to ExakTime functionality only. A prominent login option and menu item labeled "Allow Full Access" is displayed. When selected, the user is prompted to enter their Username and Password to unlock Core HR features.

When a user logs in directly with a Username and Password, they will have full access to all features they are permissioned for — across both ExakTime and Core HR.

Biometric Authentication

When a user logs in with a Username and Password, the app will prompt them to enable biometric authentication using their device's built-in capabilities (Face ID, Touch ID, or Google Biometrics). Once enabled, biometrics allow quick re-entry into the app when it is closed and reopened — without requiring the user to re-enter their credentials each time.

  • Biometric authentication is available on both iOS and Android devices
  • If a user explicitly logs out of the app, they will be prompted to re-enter their Username and Password on next launch; biometrics will not bypass a full logout

ExakTime Features

The "ExakTime" features and functions of the Arcoro app are the same great functions of the existing ExakTime Mobile app. All of our ExakTime Mobile resources can be found here.

The key difference between the ExakTime Mobile app is the navigation menu. The legacy ExakTime Mobile app has a side navigation menu that is opened by pressing ☰ in the top left. The Arcoro app will have a navigation menu that is opened by pressing More in the bottom menu bar and a dedicated "Time Clock" option to the bottom.

Core HR Features

My Info (Employee Profile Card)

Employees see a read-only profile card as the default landing screen — displaying their key HR details, including name, title, manager, department, and work location. This gives employees a quick, mobile-friendly way to confirm their HR information without contacting HR or logging into a desktop system.

Company Directory (Read-Only)

A searchable company directory lets employees look up coworkers across the organization. Particularly valuable for distributed and field workforces where employees regularly need to identify the right person to contact on a job site or project.

  • Access to the Company Directory requires the logged-in user to have Company Directory permissions enabled
  • The search bar is an active, real-time search across all fields, including name, employee ID, and department
  • Each employee record in the directory displays: Name, Department, Employee ID, Work Address, Work Email, and Work Phone
  • Quick links for calling and emailing are functional — tapping a phone number or email address will launch the device's native dialer or mail app directly

My Benefits (Benefits Summary Card)

Employees can view their current active benefit elections and contribution coverage directly from the app, along with downloadable benefit statements and a full history of past coverage.

Benefits Coverage - Displays active benefit elections such as Medical, Dental, 401K, Health FSA, and others. Each coverage record includes:

  • Plan Name
  • Plan Type
  • Coverage Period
  • Who is covered
  • Cost breakdown — employee cost and employer cost

Contribution Coverage - Displays elected contribution coverage, such as 401K or FSA. Each record includes:

  • Name
  • Type
  • Elected contribution amount

Benefit Statements

  • Download a PDF statement for the current benefit period
  • Download a total benefits statement PDF

Past Benefit Statements

  • Full in-app summary of past coverage dates
  • Ability to download previous benefit statement PDFs

Current Pay

The pay experience varies depending on the user's configuration.

Core HR (without Arcoro Payroll) — For users who upload pay stubs directly into Core HR, the available data includes:

  • Take Home Pay, Pay Date, and Pay Period
  • Ability to download the uploaded pay stub PDF for the current pay statement
  • Ability to download previous pay stub PDFs

Arcoro Payroll — For users using Arcoro Payroll, the current pay experience provides a comprehensive view of pay data for each pay period, including:

  • Take Home Pay
  • Pay Date
  • Pay Period
  • Gross Pay summary
  • Deductions summary

Pay Details A full breakdown of pay components is available, including:

  • Gross Breakdown — detailed earnings by pay type
  • Deductions Breakdown — all tax and benefit deductions itemized
  • Take Home Breakdown — a complete summary of:
    • Gross Earnings
    • Employee Taxes
    • Employee Benefits
    • Post-Tax Deductions

Employees can also download current and previous pay statement PDFs directly from the app.

Core Time and Attendance and Time Off

For CoreHR users with Time and Attendance active, with mobile clock in enabled.

Users will have access to utilize Core HR's time and attendance and Time Off. The functionality is the same as the current CoreHR mobile app with slight theming updates.
