8/2026 - Auto Lunch Modifications Report Release Notes

We are excited to introduce the new "Auto Lunch Modifications" report to help you better review and check when an employee's auto lunch was edited or modified.

Enhancements

For each employee, the report lists one line per recorded event, oldest first. Reading top to bottom for a single work date tells the full story of that auto lunch, from the moment it was first created to whatever it looks like today.

Each line is labeled with what happened:

  • System Generated — the auto lunch as the system originally created it, before any human touched it.
  • First Edit — the first time a person changed it.
  • Edit — any change after that.
  • Deleted — the record was removed.
  • Previously Edited — used only for auto lunches that were edited before June 2026, before we started capturing this history. It shows who made that last edit and when, but not what the values looked like before, because that information was never captured.

A couple of things make this easy to scan:

  • Bold values show exactly what changed on that line. For example, if only the stop time was adjusted, only the stop time appears bold.
  • The bottom line for a record is what the time card shows right now. There's no separate "Current" label because the order already tells you that.

In the example screenshot, you can follow Tom Bulatewicz's 7/27 auto lunch from its original System Generated state, through two edits that changed the start and stop times, and finally to a Deleted line, each one showing exactly what was touched and by whom.

Report Example

For every event: employee, work date, auto lunch start and stop, duration in minutes, location, cost code, who made the change, and when.

Filtering and Setup

  • Date range filter on work date. If an edit moved an auto lunch across midnight, the record's full history still shows together rather than being split across two dates.
  • Grouping by employee, with the same optional category grouping, separate-page, and ID-display options as the other audit reports.
  • Respects existing employee, location, and cost code filters, plus employee curtaining.
  • Controlled by its own security setting, so it can be turned on per role like any other report.
  • Exports to PDF or Excel through the standard report toolbar.

What This Report Does Not Show

  • Deletes made through the legacy time records screen don't leave a history record. The current app uses the path that does get captured.
  • Auto lunches edited before June 2026 only show a single "Previously Edited" line, since the original values weren't being saved yet at that point.
  • Since capturing this history is best effort, it's possible for an individual event to be missing if that particular write didn't go through.
