9/2026 - Arcoro Release Notes - Unified Permissions

Administrators at construction companies rarely work inside a single Arcoro product. One new hire touches recruiting, onboarding, time tracking, and training before their first week is out. Today, each of those means a different administrative screen, a different way in, and often the same name, email, and employee ID typed again. Setting one person up is not one job. It is four, spread across products that each have their own navigation and their own idea of what an administrator is.

The cost falls on the people least able to absorb it. An HR administrator at a mid-sized contractor is not a systems specialist, and the work is rarely done at a desk with time to spare. They learn several interfaces instead of one, keep a folder of bookmarks to get back to the screens they need, and hand half-finished tasks to a colleague who holds the rights they do not. When a superintendent needs access before Monday, the delay is not the decision; it is the number of places the decision has to be entered.

Some of that work also had to wait. Where changes moved between products on an overnight sync, an administrator could set someone up correctly and still be told the next morning that it had not taken.

The unified experience replaces that with one navigation, one directory, and one person record, so an administrator can find anybody, see everything about them, and grant what they need in a single place, with every change taking effect as it is saved. With this new experience, you will:

  • Save time. Adding a person and granting their access happens once, on one record, instead of being repeated in each product that person needs.
  • Remove duplicate records. Name and email are read from the person record rather than re-entered, so the same employee stops existing twice under two spellings.
  • See changes immediately. Every change is written directly to the product it belongs to. There is no overnight sync to wait on and nothing to check the following morning.
  • Fewer handoffs. Any administrator can find any person at the company, so one person can set up a new starter end to end rather than passing the job to whoever holds the rights in another product.
  • One round of retraining. The three changes arrive together, so administrators learn the new way of working once rather than three times across three releases.

This will be a limited release initially and will expand to all applicable accounts.

Enhancements

UNIFIED - People - 01.png

The "People" menu opens the directory of everyone at the company, whatever products they use. It replaces the menu item previously named Employee.

Selecting the eye icon under Actions opens a person record, which opens read only.

Edit, in the top right of the profile header, turns the record into a form. The header switches to Editing with a Cancel beside it.

Access and permissions is the last tab on that record, listing the Arcoro Account first and then each product as a feature.

Capabilities

  • One People directory. Search matches first name, last name, employee ID, email address, and username. Every column filters and sorts, and a Features count shows how many products each person can reach, with a hover listing which ones.
  • One person record. General and Employment hold what is shared across products. Every other tab belongs to a product the customer subscribes to and holds what only that product knows about, such as keytabs and field notes in Time, or certifications and evaluations in Talent.
  • Adding a person. The Add dialog asks for first name, last name, and email address, then a person type of Employee or Contractor, whether to create a login with a username, and whether to send the invitation now. Employee creates the person in Arcoro Time and Talent automatically; Contractor creates the shared person record only, and the administrator grants specific products afterwards.
  • Access and permissions. A green tick or red circle beside each feature shows where the person stands. Editing a feature exposes status, role, company and locations, and the permissions available to that role, grouped in categories with counts.
  • Employee profile photos. One photo per employee, centralized from Arcoro Time and Talent, shown on the person record, editable there, and written back out to every connected product.
  • Direct writes. Saving writes straight into the product concerned. There is no sync delay between saving a change and that change being live.

Usage with Arcoro Modules

Once a customer is enabled, the old employee and permission administration screens stop accepting edits, so only one place accepts a change to the same person at any time. What that means product by product:

  1. Arcoro Time. Employee and access screens send administrators to the platform. Creating, editing, and deleting custom web and mobile security roles moves to a dedicated page in the platform, and built in roles stay view only.
  2. Applicant Tracking. On User Maintenance, the Add user button, the people grid, and the include deactivated users toggle are no longer shown, and permission administration pages stop accepting edits. Business Unit maintenance and Import and Export Users are unchanged. An Employee Management link is added to the Admin menu. Roles continue to be created and maintained in the product and are assigned from the person record.
  3. Onboarding. The User tab is replaced with a short message and a link to the person record. Every other Onboarding page is unaffected.
  4. Talent. On Account Admin, People, the Add a Person button and the people grid are removed and the People link takes administrators to the platform. Import stays on that page and works as it does today. The permissions screen redirects to the platform.
  5. Integrations. User permission management becomes view only, and permissions are set in the platform. The integrations themselves keep running.
  6. Advanced Analytics. Nothing changes inside the product. Access is granted from the person record.
