Alerts and Notifications
Administrators and managers need the ability to communicate quickly with employees to keep their businesses running smoothly. For example, if dangerous conditions exist at a job site it is important employees are notified quickly and through channels that they use most often to communicate. The new Custom Alerts and Notifications feature in ExakTime provides a simple, intuitive way to send these messages to employees.
The new Custom Alerts and Notifications feature offered with ExakTime allows administrators to schedule and send notifications to their employees via text message, push notification, or email. With the proper permissions, an administrator can access the Custom Alerts and Notifications Manage page from the “Tools” section of the ExakTime navigation. From the Manage page, the user can create an alert or notification by choosing recipients, scheduling a time for delivery (if applicable), and adding a subject and message. Alerts are created and sent immediately, and notifications can be scheduled for a later date. Either method of communication can be sent over email, text message, or push notification.
Administrators can also choose what method of delivery best suits their employees on the Custom Alerts Settings page. On the Settings page, an administrator can choose to have alerts and notifications sent over one of the following options: push notification, email, or text message.
For employees to receive alerts or notifications they must meet certain conditions:
- Have a valid email address saved in ExakTime to receive email.
- Have a phone number to receive text messages
- Have the ExakTime mobile app installed to receive push notifications.
