AccountLinx is used with ExakTime Connect to export your time data for use with compatible payroll/accounting applications. 

When first opening AccountLinx after a new installation, you may have to do some setup to get them connected with your accounting/payroll application. While we cannot cover every aspect of setting up SyncLinx/AccountLinx for all accounting/payroll applications, you can refer to the following section that contains guides for some of the most common applications such as QuickBooks and Sage 100 Masterbuilder.

Setup for Direct Connection Applications

1. Click Exporter Settings in the top-left or go to Tools and click Exporter Settings....

   

2. Click Select Exporter....

   

3. Select the exporter and click OK.

   

4. Depending on the data source, some additional steps may occur:
   1. Additional prompts may appear in QuickBooks to confirm the connection. No further action is required in AccountLinx to establish the connection.
   2. A connection error message may appear as it is unable to connect to your accounting/payroll application. Continue to the next step to establish a connection.
5. Click Configure....

   

6. In the "Configure" window, clicking the "Connection" or "Connection Setup" buttons allows you to set up the connection with your accounting/payroll application. As this can differ between different systems, you can refer to the following section that contains guides for some of the most common applications such as Sage 100 Masterbuilder. In the example below, we are trying to connect to Kronos. You would use the provided

   

   

Setup for Applications With Import Files

In the screenshots below, we are setting up AccountLinx to export for Foundation.

1. Click Exporter Settings in the top-left or go to Tools and click Exporter Settings....

   

2. Click Select Exporter....

   

3. Select the exporter and click OK.

   

AccountLinx Exporter Settings

The exporter settings page will allow you to enhance or adjust how your time data is exported. Some settings are set up from the exporter settings window, while others are enabled here and set up on their respective mapping screens.

1. Go to Tools and click Exporter Settings... if not already there.

   

2. Click Configure....

   

3. The "Configure" window will list options to enhance or adjust how your time data is exported. 

   

Basic Use of AccountLinx

After selecting your exporter and configuring your exporter settings, you will need to map your entities and export your time data.
