Onboarding is capable of exporting employee data for Foundation after they have completed their paperwork in Onboarding. When importing the Onboarding data into Foundation, you may encounter any of the common issues listed below:
Leading Zeroes Missing In File
When importing Onboarding data into Foundation, you may encounter a situation where the leading zeroes are missing, resulting in a failed import into Foundation. This is generally caused when you review a file in a spreadsheet application like Excel which will automatically format the data, such as removing any leading zeroes.
While the issue for the original file cannot be resolved as Excel does not add back leading zeroes by default, you can redownload the file and load it directly into Foundation without opening with Excel at any point.
For more information about data formatting and excel, you can refer to the following article.
Receiving Direct Deposit Warning
When importing your Onboarding data into Foundation, you may receive a direct deposit warning when Foundation tries to validate the data.
After checking which field is causing the warning, you can try any of the following:
- If in the "% or $" column, they will allow:
- R - Remainder
- D - Dollar
- N - Net
- Change the values of the Import Tool for Validation.
