With AccountLinx, you can export your employees' time data from ExakTime Connect into a compatible file for WVEIS. As WVEIS may be customized to fit your company's needs, the default AccountLinx export for WVEIS may not match your WVEIS setup exactly. Please read through this article before setting up AccountLinx to understand what is needed.

We will try to help you as much as we can, but there are aspects of WVEIS that are out of our area of expertise and your questions may be better answered by WVEIS support or your trusted contact to answer/assist.
Selecting WVEIS as your Exporter
- Go to Tools and click Exporter Settings....
- The Exporter Settings window should open. Click Select Exporter....
- A window with a list of available exporters should open. Select "WVEIS" and click OK.
AccountLinx Settings Unique to WVEIS
The WVEIS export for AccountLinx offers a variety of settings when exporting your time data to help tailor the time data to your company's needs. These settings are unique to AccountLinx and will not affect ExakTime Connect or Mobile. If any of the settings offered do not sound familiar, you may not be using the setting in WVEIS and can leave it as <None>.
- Go to Tools and click Exporter Settings....
- The Exporter Settings window should open. Click Configure... to open the 'Settings' window.
- Overtime Percentages
- Overtime - Enter the overtime percentage as used in WVEIS. It is typically 1.5.
- Overtime 2 - Enter the overtime 2 (doubletime) percentage as used in WVEIS. It is typically 2.0.
- Absence Code Matching
- Absence Code 1 - Enter the WVEIS code and the corresponding ExakTime Cost Code.
- Absence Code 2 - Enter the WVEIS code and the corresponding ExakTime Cost Code.
- Absence Code 3 - Enter the WVEIS code and the corresponding ExakTime Cost Code.
- Job Code/Location/Rate Setup
- Map Job Code to - Specify the entity the job code should be associated with. The related mapping screen will have additional fields for you to complete.
- Location to - Specify the entity the location should be associated with (typically with Location). The related mapping screen will have additional fields for you to complete.
- Rate to - Specify the entity the rate should be associated with. The related mapping screen will have additional fields for you to complete.
- Overtime Percentages
- Click OK on the Configuration window and click OK on the Exporter Settings window to return to the main page of AccountLinx.
General Use of AccountLinx
After setting up the configuration of AccountLinx to better match WVEIS in the previous section, you will need to:
- Map your entities so any ExakTime entity for a time record will export with the equivalent WVEIS entity and fill in any relevant fields enabled in the previous section. Refer to the following article if you are unfamiliar with mapping your data in AccountLinx.
- After mapping your entities, you can export your time data to import into WVEIS. Refer to the following article if you are unfamiliar with exporting time data from AccountLinx.

When you begin to export your time data, you will be prompted to enter a payroll end date for the export session in mm/dd/yy format.

An example of an AccountLinx export has been provided below. The data have been preformatted based on WVEIS's template. The presented values can differ depending on your settings.
While you can manipulate the exported data after it has been exported, it is highly discouraged as it can result in data discrepancies when double-checking any data.
How to Import Time Data into WVEIS
Setting up the import for WVEIS requires assistance from a WVEIS consultant. Please contact your WVEIS representative for assistance with importing and utilizing your time data.
You will generally be performing these steps:
- Place the import file on the server recognized by the CRONOS importer.
- Set the import job to the AccountLinx export filename and location.
- Run the import report. If there are errors:
- Correct the errors in ExakTime Connect (wrong times) or AccountLinx (missing mappings)
- Reset the records in AccountLinx to export the time again.
- Re-export the file and follow this entire procedure again, until the import report shows no errors.
- Process the import file.
