Copying Time for Other Employees in ExakTime Connect

Copying your time is an option enabled by your Administrator to copy the time on your time card/timesheet from a specified date range to another. This can help in situations where you have a consistent time card/timesheet and need to quickly copy it to another period.

Copying time for other employees is currently only available on ExakTime Connect.

Things to Note

  • The following time card fields will be copied:
    • Location
    • Cost Code
    • Start Time
    • End Time
    • Equipment
  • The following timesheet fields will be copied:
    • Location
    • Cost Code
    • Hours
  • The following time fields and data will NOT be copied:
    • Forms responses
    • Punch GPS coordinates
    • Face Front photos
    • Comments
    • System-generated time off records.

How to Copy an Employee's Timesheets

  1. Navigate to Timecards on ExakTime Connect.

  2. Select the employee whose time you want to copy.

  3. Select the date range you want to copy.

  4. Click the Copy Time button from the Actions bar to open the copy time menu.

  5. Select the employees and date range that the current date range will be copied to.

    • Be sure the destination start day/date matches the date range you are copying. For example, if the period you are copying is Sun-Sat and the destination is Mon-Sun, the work dates will be skewed by one day.
    • If there is any time in the destination date range, it will be combined with the time being copied.
    • You cannot copy time into a closed pay period or pay periods/days that have been approved.

  6. Click Copy Time to copy time records from the selected date range and paste them into the new range selected.
  7. The time will be copied in the background while you continue your work.
