When any JobClock is added to your Arcoro Time system, it cannot be deleted/removed, as it will be used for historical tracking, even if you are no longer using the JobClock.
To accommodate this situation, we recommend transferring the JobClock to a special location, such as a location named "Retired JobClocks". This allows you to effectively "remove" a JobClock and retain its information for historical tracking. If the JobClock is used again after it has been transferred to the special location, the time record will show the location of "Retired JobClocks", so it is distinct from typical time records and allows you to investigate why a previously disused JobClock was used again.
You can refer to the articles below to help you create a location and transfer a retired JobClock:
- Create a Location - Create a new location that is exclusively for retired/disused JobClocks. You can also use an existing location that a JobClock would not be used for, such as a "Main Office" location.
- Collect Records - Collect remaining time punches lingering on the JobClock, if any.
- Transferring a JobClock - Transfer the JobClock to a location with an appropriate effective date for when the JobClock should no longer be used.
- Remove Batteries and Label JobClock - Remove the battery if it can be reused and label the JobClock as being retired so it is never put back into circulation.
