We’re excited to introduce GeoFence Activity Alerts, a set of new alerts to help your supervisors be aware of employees clocking in/out while outside a location and leaving/entering alerts for employees to know when they are leaving or entering a location.
Exaktime Mobile Version Requirement
Geofence Activity Alerts will require your employees to have Exaktime Mobile version 2.102 or newer for both Android and iOS devices. If you or your employees are unfamiliar with the version they are using, refer to our article here to check their version.
Supervisor Geofence Violation Alerts
We are introducing a new Geofence Activity Alerts feature to help supervisors stay informed when employees clock in or out outside of their assigned geofence. This feature is designed to improve location-based compliance and visibility in near real time. An example of an alert has been provided below:
Consistent alert details will be displayed across email, text, and SMS notifications.
- Employee name associated with the punch outside the geofence area.
- Location where the punch occurred.
- Distance outside the geofence radius, displayed in both miles and kilometers.
- Punch type (Clock In or Clock Out).
- The date and time of the punch

Employee In-App Notifications When Entering or Leaving a Geofence
Employees working in the field often forget to clock in when transferring jobsites or out when arriving at or leaving a job site, leading to inaccurate time records, extra administrative effort for supervisors, and potential compliance issues. An example of an alert has been provided below:
- Entering a Geofenced Location
- Header: Geofence Activity
- Body: Arriving at [Location ID – Name] Please make sure to clock in or out as appropriate
- Leaving a Geofenced Location
- Header: Geofence Activity
- Body: You are leaving [Locatin ID – Name] Please make sure to clock in or out as appropriate
