There may be times when the dependent of an employee may no longer be eligible and should be removed from the coverage.
- Search for and pull up the employee with the dependent to terminate.
- Navigate to Benefits and click Benefits.
- Click the benefit date range in which the dependent is enrolled.
- Update the election if necessary (i.e. Changing from Employee + Family to Employee + Spouse).
- If the employee is covering multiple dependents, it is possible that the election type will not change.
- Un-check the dependent(s) they no longer wish to cover for the dependent table below.
- Click Save & Continue >>.
- On "Step 2 - ", check the box for "This is a mid-year change" and enter the new start date for the benefit (the date the dependent is no longer being covered)
- Enter the event type causing this change (i.e. "Dependent Becomes Ineligible").
- Click Save & Continue >>.
- Review the data on the"Step 3 - Confirm" tab for accuracy. Click Confirm Change if satisfied.
