The Extended Leave tab tracks information relative to time off types that are configured as eligible for Extended Leave Tracking. This tab is most often used to track and calculate Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) eligible leave.
Navigating to Extended Leave from the Employee Profile
- Extended Leave can be reached from the menu by expanding Employee, expanding Recruiting, and clicking . If you are already viewing the employee profile, you will hover over Recruiting and click .
- Click the Extended Leave tab.
To create an extended leave record:
- Leave Type - Specify the leave type for the extended leave record. If you do not have an appropriate leave type, you can set one up from the settings page for Time Off and following the instructions for an example of how to set up an extended leave type.
- Exclude Leave from Total
- Paid Leave
- Start Date (Required)
- Expected Return Date (Required)
- Actual Return Date
- Hour per Day
- Days per Week
- Notes
- # of Days Prior to Date
- Workflow - Use a workflow to provide information or send reminders to admins and/or employees related to the extended leave.
