If enabled for your ExakTime system, you can review and approve your timesheet for a day or pay period. Approving your timesheet will let you and your ExakTime administrator confirm that your timesheet and hours appear correct for the relevant parties.
Approve a Complete Timesheet Only
We advise approving a timesheet at or near the end of the pay period/day to ensure a complete or corrected timesheet. If the timesheet has been approved prematurely, delay corrections and/or any of your company's policies/procedures.
- Click Time Management and click My Timesheet from the top menu bar.

Make sure that the correct pay period is selected. You cannot approve a timesheet for a non-pay period, such as a pay week or custom date range.
- The "Approve" button will not be available if you are not viewing a pay period or if the timesheet is blank.
- Review your timesheet for the period. If anything is incorrect or if you have any questions, contact your ExakTime administrator through company-approved channels for further assistance.

Click the Approve button. The "Approve" button will not be available if you are not viewing a pay period or if the timesheet is blank. The location of the button will differ depending on what approval option has been enabled:
- Pay Period Approval - Underneath the summary of hours for the pay period.
- Daily Approval - In the action bar for the day.

After approving your timsheet, you will see a label for the level of approvals for your timesheet in the following locations:
- Pay Period Approval - Underneath the summary of hours for the pay period.
- Daily Approval - In the action bar for the day.
- If you need to unapprove the timesheet, click the Unapprove button. You cannot unapprove a timesheet if it has been approved by a higher-level approval. If you need to unapprove a timesheet that has been approved by a manager/administrator, contact your ExakTime administrator through company-approved channels for further assistance.
