Arcoro offers time off features in Core HR and ExakTime that help you and your employees manage your employee's time off balances, accrual rules, requests, and more. While both modules offer a time off tracking feature, the PTO features of Core HR and ExakTime DO NOT interact with each other currently and are designed to function separately.
If you want to use a time off tracking feature and have both Core HR and ExakTime, it is highly recommended to only use the time off tracking feature from one of the modules. Using only one time off tracking feature of a module will help ensure a consistent experience for all of your employees and limit any unforeseen situations that may arise when trying to use the time off tracking of both Core HR and ExakTime simultaneously.
Similarities & Differences
While both 'Paid Time Off' systems are designed to help you and your employees track their paid time off and balances, they differ in how they are implemented or certain key features.
What Both Offer
- Accrual rules are present in both modules.
- The time off data can be exported to Excel with various levels of detail depending on the module.
- The timekeeping/tracking feature will reflect the time off hours of approved time off requests.
- Both Hourly and Salary Employees can use the time off feature.
- Employees can view and request time off from the respective mobile apps.
- Employees can request unpaid time off if enabled in the respective modules.
Time Off Tracking in Core HR
- Offers a robust range of accrual options including hire date, birth date, and more.
- Numerous reporting options to see a summary of Time Off data.
- AccountLinx can export time data alongside accounting/payroll exports for import into Core HR for PTO accruals if you use compatible accounting/payroll applications. AccountLinx cannot export time data for Core HR PTO Accruals if AccountLinx directly connects to the accounting/payroll application. - Eligibility rules can accommodate adding time off to the employee's time card based on your company holidays.

Time Off in ExakTime
- Simpler accrual rules that are easy to understand and configure, but may be limiting to some when compared to Core HR options.
- ExakTime does not currently offer any built-in reports for your time off data. Reporting for time off data in ExakTime requires the use of Advanced Analytics.
- Approved time off requests will appear on your employee's time cards and can be exported via AccountLinx for your respective accounting/payroll application. Some configuration may be required to ensure the data can be imported into your accounting/payroll application.
- "Time Off" does not currently allow bulk balance assignments/entry and will not automatically enter PTO for holidays.
