Modules Configuration for Employee Portal of Core HR

The Modules tab allows you to select which modules are available to the employees on the Employee Portal.

Navigating to Employee Portal Configuration
  • Expand Setup and click Setup Properties from the menu.

  • Hover over 'Employee Portal Setup' and click Employee Portal.

  • Click the Modules tab.

Some of these modules are contracted services that would require a purchase and configuration prior to being used on the Portal. The below chart illustrates which Module is tied to which contracted service:

Module Option Used with these contracted services
Change Events Allows employees to select and enter life change events from the employee portal. Can be used with just Core HR, or Core HR plus additional products.
Time Reporting Allows employees to record time from the employee portal. Requires Time & Labor Management.
Surveys Allows employees to complete surveys that you create from the employee portal. Can be used with just Core HR, or Core HR plus additional products.
Learn about your Benefits (Benefits Viewer) Requires Benefits Management.
Turn off Benefit Cost Card Typically checked (to turn it off) unless if you have Benefits Management.
Time Off Allows employees to request and manage PTO from the employee portal. Requires Time & Labor Management.
To Do List Allows employees to access and manage a to do list from the employee portal. Can be used with just Core HR, or Core HR plus additional products.
Informational Links This will display a list of configurable links that will be available to employees from the employee portal. Can be used with just Core HR, or Core HR plus additional products.
*Note - This option is ONLY available if you are using the 'New Dashboard' Theme.
Portal Links This will display a list of links that will be available to employees from the employee portal. Can be used with just Core HR, or Core HR plus additional products.

Documents (and sub-categories) This will display a list of available documents to employees that can be downloaded from the employee portal. Can be used with just Core HR, or Core HR plus additional products.
Account Activity Can be used with just Core HR, or Core HR plus additional products.

Total Benefits Statement (and sub-categories) Requires Benefits Management.
