Documents Configuration for Employee Portal of Core HR

The 'Documents' tab allows you to upload and manage documents that are available to the employee under the Documents section of the Employee Portal (i.e. Employee Handbooks). You can also use categories to limit which empoyees should view/access a document.

Navigating to Documents for Events Configuration
  • Expand Setup and click Setup Properties from the menu.

  • Hover over 'Employee Portal Setup' and click Employee Portal.

  • Click the Documents tab.

The Actions drop-down menu allows you to:

Adding a Document

  • Click Create Record from the Actions drop-down menu.
  • Enter the following information:

    • Enter a name for the document.
    • Enter the display order for the document.
    • Select a category for the document.
    • Click Browse and upload the appropriate file from your computer.
  • Click Upload when finished.

Save Documents

  • Update the document name and/or category.

  • Click Save Documents from the Actions drop-down menu to save your changes.

Manage Categories

  • Click Manage Categories from the Actions drop-down menu.

  • You should be taken to a different page. Enter the following information:

    • Category - Enter the name of the category.
    • Eligibility Rule - Select the eligibility rule for the category. This will determine which group of users will see this document category/documents in this category. For more assistance with setting up eligibility rules, you can refer to the following dedicated article.
  • Click Save Category.

Deleting a Document

  • Use the checkbox(es) to select the document(s) to delete.

  • Click Delete Selected Records from the Actions drop-down menu.

  • Confirm the deletion.
