EOI Tab for Events Configuration for Employee Portal of Core HR

The 'EOI' tab offers textboxes to configure a custom message that will be displayed on the Summary Step of the selected Event if an election is made requiring EOI (evidence of insurability).

Navigating to EOI for Events in the Employee Portal
  • Expand Setup and click Setup Properties from the menu.

  • Hover over 'Employee Portal Setup' and click Employee Portal.

  • Click the Events tab.

  • Click the name of the Event.

  • Click the EOI tab.

  • You can set your event to pend entirely if the option of EOI is selected, or you can choose to pend only the elections requesting EOI.
  • Your last option is to pend an election that is dependent upon other elections for EOI should the dependent election require EOI. ( i.e., you elect employee vol life and it requires EOI, and you elect spouse life that is dependent upon your employee's life sections, both elections would pend for EOI.)

Process for EOI Events

  1. The user starts the event, which goes to a "Pending Approval" state.
  2. The user then needs to go to the Carrier's website/portal to submit their evidence of insurability.
  3. The carrier will reach out to the Core HR Administrator to approve or deny the event for the employee.
  4. The Administrator will address the event accordingly.
